Lesson Overview…

Hey [firstname]…

I hope this finds you healthy and happy!

Today’s lesson is packed with some very useful information and ideas that will help you plow through one of the most common hurdles players fail to get down.

“Bending!”

The use of bending in your solo’s or fills between chords (or better still – being able to do it right) just can’t be over emphasized.

Smooth sounding bends can make a complete “newbie” sound “years” ahead of where they really are in there playing. And on the other side of the scale, sloppy bends can make an advanced player sound like they’ve only begun. Uhhh… that’s not good.

Want to hear some killer bends? Look up Gary Moore, Neil Schon, Lincoln Brewster, Steve Vai, and David Gilmore. These are just a few.

But these guys all have one thing in common. They have the ability to hear “pitch” being hit in a bend without taking a solo out of context to do it.

In other words, when they bend a note, they know where to take it to in order for it to be in “key”.

The good news is that this can be done very easily. As you play more and more, your ears will take you there without even thinking about it. You’ll know it. You’ll feel it. And yes, I mean feel it! Think I’m kidding? Try bending a note and having it not have a destiny and it will sound like a drunken cat and rub you like finger nails being dragged down a chalk board – I kid you not! You’ll feel that too!

So – what’s a good way to train your ears [quick] you might be saying. We’re not into drunk cats.

In today’s lesson, I’ll show you a “sure fire and bullet proof” way to get your bends to a destination that makes sense.  It’s easy to do and it works like wild.

The secret is to listen as you apply the logic. The logic behind it is very simple. You’ll get that in a snap once you look the video over. But, I want you to train those ears to hear it as well. So, get your axe, tune the thing, and let’s get to rockin!

As always, if you ever need me, just let me know.
