The Magic Of “Front Stage” Part 1

“The Magic Of Front Stage” (Part 1)

READ EVERY WORD OF THIS INTRODUCTION TO GET THE FULL BENEFIT OF THIS LESSON.

Welcome to today’s lesson! Things are about to get heated up!

As you know, we’ve discussed in a previous letter a concept I call “The 3 Rules”. If by chance you missed that, you need to wrap your head around it because it literally holds the keys to opening up your playing and unlocking higher skill levels VERY FAST! If you happened to miss that, please step away from this lesson and before you even think about moving ahead, go look at the little “brief” I gave you on “The 3 Rules”. You can do that by following the link right here….

Just Click Here Now To Look Over “The 3 Rules”… It will take you about 3 minutes to look over!

If you are reading this, I can only assume you have familiarized yourself with “The 3 Rules” and you are now ready to move ahead. By now, I think you realize many players just like you and I are experiencing some pretty exiting growth in their playing using this system …but it’s very important that you realize THIS IS A SYSTEM.

You need to follow the road map I lay out for you. So again, please play by the rules and if you’ve missed something along the way, go back and find the lesson you missed and get it down. I promise you it will serve you well.

“Hi Jerry,
Well ya did it again man. You keep on blowing me away. Thanks again for my last lesson. I’ve gotta tell ya Jerry, I’ve never enjoyed playing so much. My guitar is rarely out of my hands now. Keep on rocking.”
–Peter

Now, back to it…

In “The 3 Rules”, we mention the fact that you can take your favorite solo (and it doesn’t matter if it has 3 notes or 10 thousand notes) and you’ll find that it really only consists of 12 possible notes.

Sure there are notes that would fall in between a bend that aren’t quite a half step in either direction but the main point to remember is that there only 12 possibilities at hand. Twelve notes. That’s it.

So what does that mean to you as a player? Uhhhh… Only EVERYTHING!

It means that when you hear something that has a hundred notes or a thousand notes in it, all you’re really hearing is a change in the octave (or repeating the same sequence elsewhere on the neck of the guitar). Everything else is technique. PERIOD!

In today’s lesson, we’re going to begin the process of MILKING this fact for everything it is worth.

We’ll only scratch the surface in what we can really do – but you’ll see some really cool possibilities right away. In part two of this little series, we’ll expand a little more on this and I’m quite sure you (LIKE THOUSANDS OF OTHER PLAYERS WHO HAVE TAKEN “THE BRIDGE” MINI COURSE) will start seeing lights come on and possibilities all over the neck will be looking you right in the face.

I could never cover it all in two lessons.

We really dig into it in my course called “Full Blown” but this isn’t about that. This is about getting you to understand that possibilities are always right under or over (where) your fingers are already positioned on the guitar. It’s just a matter of you getting natural at seeing them and it becoming “second nature”. Trust me when I say this… IT WILL BECOME NATURAL OF YOU HANG AROUND WITH ME HERE IN OUR LITTLE VIRTUAL STUDIO!

Enjoy today’s lesson. If by chance you have stumbled upon this page as your first exposure to the my mini course called “The Bridge”, don’t let yourself be swayed to “wing it” and try to start from here. You really need to go through “The Bridge” and by all means, get your head around it.

That course is simple. It’s powerful. And, it moves you ahead faster than most things you’ll ever try. Trust me, I’ve been at this teaching game for over 30 years!

Reach out to me and I’ll tell you exactly how to get the entire Bridge course for less than a cheap burger and drink! And… It’s less fattening!

Already been getting “The Bridge” and ready to watch today’s lesson… Well… here it is! Enjoy and don’t forget to click the facebook “Like” button and help our guitar picker community to grow. Oh yeh… jump in and leave a comment below too!

    Thank you! Mike

Jerry, Amazing stuff, I can’t believe I am doing this.I have been rooted in guitar chord’s for so long,I can feel the mold growing around my feet. Thanks for your patience, you are amazing, I can hardly wait for the next session. Rick

    Hi Jerrry,
Very interesting, I can see lots of possibilities and new sounds just by maybe playing the a minor pentatonic and the jumping to front stage, it really does open
up a lot more options. Will you be putting up videos regard techniques?

  8. don says:

  9. David says:

I just finished viewing your your 7 & 12 and the next lesson on your electric guitar. My question is can you apply the chords you were showing
on an acoustic guitar and execute a similar sound.

  10. Patrick says:

Jerry thanks for yet another amazing and enlightening lesson. I never looked at chords in this fashion before, I mean taking a simple Power Chord, in this case the A Power Chord, and just taking it to a whole other level in just a few short steps. In no time at all I was able to incorporate this into my regular guitar playing and now I am doing some really cool stuff and getting some exciting sounds. But more importantly I am enjoying my playing again.

If this can be gained from a mini lesson, then the full blown ones must be something really special.

  11. ronnie says:

Cool man! I admit I was a little turned off by the 7 & 12. I’m so sick of theory. I understand it’s imortance don’t get me wrong, I was just hoping you were going somewhere with this and you have. Sometimes all you need is spark. Thanks

  15. Angel B says:

    Jerry,

Thanks to you my playing has opened up and I see things that just weren’t there before. I’m talking about bar chords. (keep it simple now) They tie in so much easier than I ever thought before. I was intimidated, afraid and frozen when it came to bar chords.
One song in particular: Torn by Natalie Imbruglia.. The F and Bb chords were out of reach. I did the traditional top of the neck F, but the Bb was out of the question.

    Thanks Jerry

  16. murray says:

just watched the triple factor part b.Wandering when the back stage lesson ism coming . Looking forward to it.Wandering how pentatonic scales would fit in with whst you are teaching or even fool scales. Could also use some practice jam tracks to jam with.

  17. scott says:

    Hi jerry
    another great lesson mate.Thanks alot.
I have a one small problem, I only have an acoustic at the moment and find that your lessons apply mostly to the electric. I keep practising but find it hard work.
    Can you help?

  18. murray says:

I have enjoyed the lessons so far I’m an older student and look forward to see where you are going with this.I have taken lessons for the past few years and had all but given up on lead guitar.I felt I just didn’t have the speed to play lead guita. I am currently in transistion trying to figure out whether to enroll in more lessons at someplace, maybe learning more finger picking. I don’t know. Don’t know what to try to learn to keep playing fresh and interesting.

  24. Jerry At LearnGuitarFastAndEasy.com says:

    Wow CC…

That was a quick response! I just sent the lesson out about twenty minutes ago and was sitting here updating the lesson area when your post came across.

First things first… Thanks for the nice comment!
I always enjoy hearing from everybody.

Regarding my paid lessons compared to my free stuff, your correct, they are beasts! As you know, I try to always stay humble. I’m still learning every day just like you.

But, I’ll have to say in my paid courses, they’re revved up versions of what I’ve been teaching you. They fill in a ton of gaps and SLAP all the usual TECHNO-MUMBO-JUMBO down while making things real easy to learn and advance verrry quickly.

I’ve been thinking about opening up a small amount of spots for a paid course. As you know, I like to stay in touch with each of you as best I can and if I take too many, I feel like I loose touch if you guys need me.

I don’t ever want to do that and just shove stuff in your face for you to get twisted on.

I’ll let you know. In the meantime, keep on polishing up on these. The next few lessons are coming out of the vault from my paid sessions and they are “over the top”.

Thanks again there Mister (or Misses) Speedy! Your quick to the punch.

    Now get to practicing.

    Jerry
