Knowing Chords The Easy Way

Hey Tribe,

I’ve got something hooked up for you, it’s FREE, and I’d just about bet the farm you’re gonna love it! Read me……….

When it comes to chords and understanding them, they can frazzle you at times. Frankly, I think you’ll discover that the further you travel down what I call “The Journey Of A Guitarist”, most of your finest playing will consist of using only a handful of chords and learning to embellish them to what sounds nice to your ears – and hopefully the ears of listeners as well.  Additionally, you’ll find that to be the case with most of the music you love.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of meeting (online) Reijo,  a gentleman who created what I believe is about the best and simplest chord tool I’ve ever seen in my life.

Believe me, I’ve seen a lot of stuff. Everybody’s is the best. Everybody’s is the easiest…..

Yeh… right.

Shortly after looking at most things, you soon discover that it starts sounding and reading like a turtle speaking in monotone.

Blah-Blah-Blah!

Most stuff creates confusion and frustration.

Well Reijo nailed it with his handy guide and being the generous guy I found him to be, he agreed to allow me to just give this E-Book to you. As in, no charge. Take the thing and use it. It’s a gift. No catch. …… Gratis! Get my drift?

I know you will love it.

Now here’s the thing.

Do NOT let your internal genius take over and over-think this stuff. This book is straight up, dead on, and easy to understand. Don’t over complicate it.

If you like the book, reach out to Reijo and send him a million dollars or something. The guy just left it open ended for me to give it to you as one of my loyal students. I think that’s pretty darn cool!

You can just click the image below and it should open right up. Enjoy it and shoot me a note to let me know how you like it. I’m at learnguitarfastandeasy@gmail.com and I’d enjoy hearing how it helped ya! :-)

Your pickin pal in Tennessee,

Jerry

    Hey Jerry ,

I have received your emails for a while now and your articles are (usually) on the money. I have been “playing at” guitar for over 45 years now and I am still learning. You are right when you say we do not need music theory to play well. Really one needs to practice and play the best one can. (Here comes the “but”) But, I have got to say I was one of the ones that said, “We don’t need no stinkin’ “Theory!”

One of my stories: In High School I learned to play a few cords and then a few songs. Mainly to impress girls! A few of us formed a band and played local venues. Does this story sound like it has been told before? Well, in my senior year I needed some more credits to graduate so I took a class in music theory. I was hooked, the class explained a lot of things. Many of them I would not have known to ask, but now I understand what I had been doing for three years. Theory was great for me, but it might not be the best for the next player.

I have taught some younger ones how to approach “learning” to play guitar. One of my teachings is to play it your way, but don’t be afraid to learn something different.

Thanks for your pointers. Many times they remind me of things I have forgotten.

PRACTICE – PRACTICE – PRACTICE, Then share it!
